ZHEJIANG JYT Conflict Minerals Procurement Policy
“Conflict minerals” generally refer to minerals originating from Conflict-Affected and High-Risk Areas (CAHRA), including but not limited to the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) and its neighboring countries. These minerals include, but are not limited to, tin, tantalum, tungsten, gold, and cobalt, as well as their derivatives. The mining, smelting, and other processing of such minerals have led to severe human rights and environmental issues. In many cases, mining activities in these regions are linked to (and fund) armed conflict groups, contributing to long-term regional instability.
ZHEJIANG JYT strictly adheres to the Responsible Business Alliance (RBA) Code of Conduct and implements a strict no-conflict-minerals policy. The company responds to the Responsible Minerals Initiative (RMI), follows the Responsible Minerals Assurance Process (RMAP), and conducts due diligence on its supply chain to ensure that it does not procure minerals from conflict-affected and high-risk areas, including but not limited to tin, tantalum, tungsten, gold, and cobalt and their derivatives.
Policy
ZHEJIANG JYT has established a risk-based conflict minerals management system and formulated the “Conflict Minerals Control Management Procedure” to responsibly manage its mineral resource supply chain. The company selects qualified suppliers based on raw material development needs, assesses the risk of conflict minerals in raw materials, requires suppliers to commit to not using conflict minerals, conducts regular conflict minerals information surveys (using the CMRT), and publishes the smelter list on its website.
Commitment
ZHEJIANG JYT is committed to complying with all internationally recognized conventions and the laws and regulations of relevant customer countries. The company respects human rights, protects the environment, and adheres to the principle of good faith. It strives to ensure that all procured raw materials come from socially, ethically, and environmentally responsible sources. The company shares due diligence information with its customers and continuously improves transparency and management capability throughout the supply chain.
