Waste Reduction

With our vision of a net-zero carbon future, we understand the importance of reducing waste. The company ensures that it conducts regular water quality tests to fully meet national waste discharge standards, achieves 100% compliance in handling general solid waste, and entrusts qualified suppliers for the disposal of hazardous waste.

Using the year 2022 as a baseline, the company continuously monitors various indicators of waste discharge in its daily operations, tracks and reports relevant data, controls abnormal variables promptly, and steadily works towards waste reduction goals. The annual waste reduction goals are as follows:
Short-term Goal: Committing to reducing waste emissions by 10% by 2026 (starting from 2023, with annual emissions reduction exceeding 2.5% based on the 2022 baseline).
Long-term Goal: Reducing waste emissions by 30% by 2036 (compared to the base year of 2022).

To achieve the set goals, JYT is using low-carbon construction materials, increasing energy efficiency while still ensuring efficiency, and deploying more renewable energy solutions.

Waste Management

Starting from the year 2022 as our baseline, JYT consistently monitors a range of waste discharge indicators on a daily basis. We continuously track and report these relevant metrics, promptly managing and controlling any abnormal variables. Our short-term objective is to achieve a 10% reduction in waste discharge by 2026 compared to the levels observed in 2022. Looking ahead, our long-term goal is to achieve a 30% reduction in waste emissions by the year 2036, also compared to the levels recorded in 2022.

Waste Management at JYT:

JYT has achieved a 100% compliance rate in the discharge of both corporate and production wastewater. We consistently conduct water quality testing to ensure adherence to national discharge standards. Moreover, our management of general solid waste also maintains a perfect compliance rate for treatment in accordance with regulatory requirements.

Key Measures:

1. The production plant's drainage system distinguishes between rainwater and sewage, as well as between cleaning water and sewage. Rainwater collected within the plant area is discharged into nearby rivers through designated rainwater pipes.

2. The company exclusively releases domestic sewage, directing it into the Jinxi sewage treatment plant through the municipal sewage pipe network. After meeting established standards through treatment, the effluent is then discharged into Xiaojiejing Port.

3. Project scraps, general packaging materials, and waste target materials are entrusted to qualified solid waste treatment companies for outsourcing and comprehensive utilization.

4. Domestic waste is collected and transported by the sanitation department.

Hazardous Waste:
Our company maintains a hazardous waste storage facility with implemented measures to prevent rain, seepage, and loss. The facility is equipped with identification signs that meet the requirements outlined in the "Pollution Control Standards for Hazardous Waste Storage" (GB18597-2001).

Hazardous waste is consistently entrusted to certified suppliers for proper disposal, ensuring 100% compliant discharge. The company meticulously completes the "Hazardous Waste Transfer Form" in strict accordance with regulations. Throughout the entire procedure, the characteristics of hazardous waste, transfer processes, destination, and the individual responsible for its management are transparent and accessible. This information is readily available through the environmental information disclosure platform.

Key Measures:

1. Waste packaging containers, cleaning agents, wiping paper, scraps, and activated carbon are entrusted to government-approved hazardous waste treatment companies for proper disposal.
2. Laboratory waste is handed over to a government-approved hazardous waste disposal company for appropriate handling.
3. The company declares the lawful transfer of four categories of hazardous waste, maintaining comprehensive transaction records and the “Hazardous Waste Transfer Form,” ensuring thorough monitoring and traceability throughout the entire process.
