JYT TECH CO., LTD. recently organized a meaningful Family Day with the theme “Caring for the Planet, Acting to Protect the Earth.” On October 27, in support of environmental awareness, JYT TECH employees and their families gathered in Fulong for a series of engaging and educational eco-activities.

The day began with a “Small Abalone Ecological Adventure,” where participants explored Fulong’s unique ecosystem guided by local aquaculture experts. The tour introduced the small abalone habitat and demonstrated sustainable farming methods that minimize environmental impact. Through this experience, adults and children alike gained insight into how various species coexist in harmony and how natural ecosystems can be maintained through responsible practices. This activity not only brought participants closer to nature but also heightened awareness and interest in ecological conservation.

Vice President Joe Hsu personally led JYT’s volunteers in an “ESG Beach Cleanup,” a hands-on effort to restore Fulong Beach after recent typhoons. Over 50 adults and children worked together to remove waste, including plastic bags, bottles, and cigarette butts, carefully packing each piece into trash bags. By the end of the event, the team had collected a total of 103 kilograms of waste, impressing upon everyone the importance of ocean conservation for the planet. Joe noted that the beach cleanup went beyond environmental maintenance; it aimed to instill values of resource conservation and waste reduction in the younger generation, encouraging participants to develop habits that limit single-use items.

To highlight the potential of waste repurposing, the event included a “Sea Glass DIY Nightlight” workshop. Participants transformed recovered sea glass into distinctive, handcrafted nightlights, giving new life to what was once environmental waste. This activity allowed colleagues to bond with family members and experience the possibilities of turning waste into functional art, inspiring innovative thinking about resource reuse.
