JYT has officially submitted the SBTi commitment letter. Based on climate science and using the SBTi pathway for small and medium-sized enterprises, it has set short-term and net-zero targets. By 2030, JYT aims to reduce Scope 1+2 emission intensity by 42% based on 2022 levels, and achieve net-zero emissions by 2050.
JYT’s GHG emissions in 2022 were 4452.89t CO₂e, and in 2023 were 4443.18t CO₂e. Thanks to green electricity, 319.37t CO₂e could be offset, leaving a remainder of 4123.81t CO₂e. Using 2022 as the base year, the actual reduction in GHG emissions in 2023 was 7.39%, achieving the annual target for 2023.
The carbon emission target for 2024 is as follows:
A reduction of 5.25% in GHG emissions in 2024 (using 2023 as the base year).
