“Khoáng sản xung đột” thường được hiểu là các khoáng sản có nguồn gốc từ khu vực xung đột và khu vực rủi ro cao (CAHRA), bao gồm Cộng hòa Dân chủ Congo và các quốc gia hoặc khu vực lân cận. Các khoáng sản này bao gồm nhưng không giới hạn ở thiếc, tantal, vonfram, vàng và cobalt, cùng các sản phẩm dẫn xuất của chúng. Hoạt động khai thác, luyện kim và các công đoạn sản xuất liên quan đến các khoáng sản nêu trên đã và đang gây ra những vấn đề nghiêm trọng về nhân quyền và môi trường. Phần lớn hoạt động khai thác tại các khu vực xung đột và rủi ro cao có liên quan đến hoặc tài trợ cho các nhóm vũ trang, dẫn đến tình trạng bất ổn kéo dài tại các khu vực này.

JYT Việt Nam tuân thủ nghiêm ngặt Bộ Quy tắc Ứng xử của Liên minh Kinh doanh Có Trách nhiệm (RBA Code of Conduct), thực hiện chính sách không sử dụng khoáng sản xung đột, tích cực hưởng ứng Sáng kiến Khoáng sản Có Trách nhiệm (Responsible Minerals Initiative – RMI) và tuân theo Quy trình Bảo đảm Khoáng sản Có Trách nhiệm (Responsible Minerals Assurance Process – RMAP). Công ty tiến hành thẩm tra trách nhiệm đối với chuỗi cung ứng, nhằm bảo đảm không thu mua khoáng sản có nguồn gốc từ các khu vực xung đột và rủi ro cao, bao gồm nhưng không giới hạn ở thiếc, tantal, vonfram, vàng và cobalt, cùng các sản phẩm dẫn xuất.

Chính sách

JYT Việt Nam đã xây dựng hệ thống quản lý khoáng sản xung đột dựa trên đánh giá rủi ro, đồng thời ban hành và công bố “Quy trình kiểm soát khoáng sản xung đột” nhằm thực hiện quản lý có trách nhiệm đối với chuỗi cung ứng khoáng sản. Công ty lựa chọn nhà cung cấp phù hợp căn cứ vào nhu cầu phát triển và sử dụng nguyên vật liệu, tiến hành đánh giá rủi ro liên quan đến khoáng sản xung đột trong nguyên liệu đầu vào, yêu cầu nhà cung cấp cam kết không sử dụng khoáng sản xung đột, đồng thời định kỳ thực hiện khảo sát thông tin khoáng sản xung đột (CMRT) và cập nhật, công bố danh sách các cơ sở luyện kim trên website của công ty.

Công ty nỗ lực bảo đảm rằng nguyên vật liệu được thu mua đều có nguồn gốc từ các nhà cung cấp có trách nhiệm đối với xã hội, quyền con người và môi trường, đồng thời chia sẻ thông tin thẩm tra trách nhiệm (due diligence) với khách hàng, từng bước nâng cao tính minh bạch và năng lực quản lý của chuỗi cung ứng.

Conflict minerals generally refer to minerals originating from Conflict-Affected and High-Risk Areas (CAHRAs), including the Democratic Republic of the Congo and its adjoining countries or regions. These minerals include, but are not limited to, tin, tantalum, tungsten, gold, and cobalt, as well as their derivatives. The extraction, smelting, and other manufacturing processes of such minerals have caused serious human rights and environmental issues. A significant portion of mining activities in these conflict-affected and high-risk areas is associated with (or finances) armed groups, leading to prolonged regional instability.

JYT Vietnam strictly adheres to the Responsible Business Alliance (RBA) Code of Conduct and implements a policy prohibiting the use of conflict minerals. The company actively supports the Responsible Minerals Initiative (RMI) and follows the Responsible Minerals Assurance Process (RMAP) to conduct due diligence across its supply chain, ensuring that it does not source minerals from conflict-affected and high-risk areas, including but not limited to tin, tantalum, tungsten, gold, and cobalt, or their derivatives.

Policy

JYT Vietnam has established a risk-based conflict minerals management system and formulated and issued a Conflict Minerals Control Procedure to ensure responsible management of its mineral supply chain. The company selects appropriate suppliers based on raw material development requirements, assesses the potential risk of conflict minerals in raw materials, and requires suppliers to commit to non-use of conflict minerals. JYT Vietnam conducts regular Conflict Minerals Reporting Template (CMRT) surveys and updates and discloses the list of smelters on its website.
