In alignment with its long-term commitment to “Protecting the Earth and Advancing Low-Carbon Development,” SIXXON GROUP successfully hosted a Waste Sorting Competition on March 21 at its Zhejiang facility.
Centered around the theme “Sort It Right, Keep It Green,” the event aimed to raise environmental awareness among employees through an engaging, educational format that made sustainability fun and accessible.
Knowledge Sharing to Strengthen Green Awareness
The event began with an animated educational video introducing the “Four-Category Waste Sorting System.” Through vibrant visuals and practical examples—such as “One button battery can pollute 600,000 liters of water” and “Recycling one ton of paper saves three cubic meters of wood”—employees were reminded that proper waste sorting isn’t just simple, it’s a meaningful responsibility for the planet’s future.
A Creative Competition Format That Energized Participation
Departing from traditional awareness campaigns, the competition featured three interactive team-based challenges that blended knowledge with entertainment:
Quick-Fire Quiz: Participants raced to answer waste classification questions, showcasing their knowledge in a fast-paced trivia battle.
Relay Match: Teams identified types of waste from randomized images on-screen and classified them correctly within a one-minute time limit, testing teamwork and reflexes.
Sort & Deliver: Two teammates used sticky-hand props to catch “waste” cards and pass them to a third teammate, who then sorted them into the correct bins—mimicking real-life sorting in a playful way.
After three intense rounds, the team “Hazardous Waste” emerged as champions and received recognition in a lively award ceremony.
Sustainability in the Details
Every detail of the event reflected the Group’s commitment to environmental responsibility. Participants received eco-friendly bookmarks embedded with plant seeds, symbolizing the company’s belief that every small green act can grow into lasting change. All materials used during the event were made from sustainable sources, and 100% of waste generated on-site was properly sorted and recycled.
As a fresh chapter in SIXXON GROUP’s “Green Office” initiative, the company plans to continue enhancing waste sorting facilities, exploring innovative sustainability practices, and encouraging employees to turn environmental knowledge into everyday action—driving forward its vision for a greener future.
